Noble Donates Two Truckloads Of Building Material

Concord, Ontario – July 7, 2014 – Noble, a leading wholesale supplier of Plumbing, HVAC, Hydronics, Industrial, and Fire Protection products, proudly donated more than two truckloads of building material to Habitat for Humanity’s Halton Region chapter early last month. “Noble has a long-standing commitment to give back to our local communities,” said Jim Cochrane, Director of Sales & Marketing at Noble Corporation. “With 40 Noble locations across Ontario, it is important that we play an active role in supporting the communities in which we live and work. By partnering with Habitat for Humanity, we are able to help local families in need.”

Habitat for Humanity will use some of the material donated by Noble to aid in future building projects while the remaining material will be sold through several Habitat for Humanity ReStores in the Halton Region.  These retail spaces offer high-quality building supplies, home furnishing, appliances, and décor to the general public.

“The ReStore is at the heart of Habitat’s ability to operate and grow as an organization”, explained Kevin Whyte, Procurement Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity Halton, who was on-hand to receive Noble’s delivery. “Through donated materials from community-oriented companies like Noble, the ReStore is able to sell those items and cover overhead costs. All financial donations can then go directly toward our home builds. The ReStore also allows for the purchasing of products that may be out of reach for many low-income families.”

Since its inception in the early 2000’s, Habitat Halton has provided homes for twenty families. The goal is to build seventy five homes over the next five years, with seventeen planned for 2014. This year’s schedule includes the chapter’s largest build ever – a thirteen unit townhouse complex in Burlington – which starts this summer.
